Attention: This is going to be a very long post.
To all Harry Potter fans out there who havent watched the movie,
WATCH IT.
it was GOOD.
and i mean GOOD.
warning: spoilers below

the effects, sound and graphics were really nice, and the quidditch world cup, although lasting for only a short while, was superfantastic. i could feel myself flying with victor krum! :D
however, the part where i didnt like was the part where the producers cancelled winky and dobby from the movie. i mean, winky plays a very very important part in the book, being the one reserving the seat for barty crouch junior and casting the dark mark. and dobby was the one who passed harry the gillyweed, not neville!!! that part was just not right. also, the truth potion and the confrontation of barty crouch junior sucked. really. it was the nicest part in the book for me, because everything finally made sense when barty crouch junior spilled everything due to the truth potion. but because they cancelled winky (*rolls eyes) , the whole truth thing lasted 5 seconds, instead of the glorious many minutes it was supposed to be according to the book.
there were quite a few hilarious parts too, which were actually hilarious, and people actually laughed. that was a redeeming feature :D like the part where Fleur's school entered, and the "beautiful" girls were doing their entrance presentation or whatever you call that, they went like, ahhhh, ahhhh. as if, you know, they were, you know what. :P
why not i do a character analysis for you?
1) Harry Potter: - Quite like himself, except when he asked Cho Chang to the ball. That was, ahem.
2) Ron Weasly: - Quite like himself too, except when puberty sets in and he sees Hermione at the Yule Ball and when he quarrels with Harry. P.S.: Ron loves to swear in this movie.
3) Hermione Granger: - Okay lar. But she didnt teach Viktor Krum to say her name, which is such a disappointment cause i would love to see the oh-i-am-so-much-older-than-my-role Viktor Krum say " Hermy-ninny" and look puzzled.
4) Cho Chang: - Here comes Cho Chang finally, we see Katie Leung playing the " almighty" role as Harry Potter's love interest, and besides smiling and speaking 3 sentences with her Scottish accent in the whole 2.5 hours movie, i dont see what she is there for.
5) Fleur Delacour: - A 21-year old playing a 17 year old, quite an amazing sight. She does look convincing as a 17 year old though, and she speaks French throughout the whole movie, so do not attempt to decipher her sentences( except when she says " You saved my sister from ze gringlows even though she was not yourrrs to save.") unless you are french or speak that language, or happen to bring a french dictonary into the theatre.
6) Viktor Krum: - Nothing to say, except fot the fact that he really is too old for the role. He looks 34!!!! But i love his accent :D
7) Cedric Diggory: - HOT. This guy has the rosiest cheeks i ever seen, and he looks good, man, even when he dies. P.S.: His real name is Robert! :P
8) Dumbledore: - Not really like the kind ole man he was in the books, cause he actually shouted at harry, for "putting" his name in the goblet of fire. but i seriously dont see the need to shout you know, cause dumbledore, being the powerful wizard he is, should know that harry could not possibly get pass the age ring. So there.
9) Mad-Eye Moody: - Nothing to say too. But i like his blue eyeball :P
overall, i give 4.3 stars out of 5.
yayy. i finished harry potter review.
now, i shall recognise the fact that i am older and getting more dillusional, as mou mou ren says.
first, i forgot where i put my honour card and panicked for 3 days without realising that it was on my study table the whole time.
second, i forgot my whole tv schedule and missed i-forgot-how-many episodes of wangzi. ohwells.
third, i forgot that... oh i shall let the smses explain for themselves.

XXX: you know, fiona, yes. didnt we discuss it already? i think you are seriously getting more dillusional.
me: oh right! haha! i think i am really getting older. my birthday just passed mah. Still trying to get into the now-fourteen-must-not-be-silly-must-be-matured-must-crack-intellectual-jokes mood.
XXX: Right....
hahaha. so i AM getting memory loss, and a severe one at that. hehheh. lols.
next topic: I MADE A DISCOVERY WHILE WATCHING TV! WAIT, MAKE THAT TWO DISCOVERIES! AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD ONES LEH.
1) I believe you have seen the KFC ad, the one where the teacher brings her students for a picnic and pointpoint to the clouds, and she couldnt figure the swan shape thing and her students say its a cygnet? it is a MAJOR mistake. which teacher, in singapore, brings her students for a picnic in some place that has 2 trees in the vicinity?! first, there is no one place in singapore where there is grass and there are two miserable trees. and a teacher, who has attained much higher education than her 5 year old students, does not know what a cygnet is?! i know its meant to promote the even-older-people-can-learn-from-the-young-ones thing, but that teacher is young, and not the older generation ones who probably did not get much detailed education as the younger generation. so why the hell would she not know its a cygnet?! and the cloud shape is a SWAN, for god's sake, if its not a swan then it must be a BABY swan. why couldnt she guess that? and why would a swan promote KFC? yesyes, a swan is a bird too, same family as the chicken fried in KFC, but a chicken would drown in water, and swans cannot be found in your KFC zinger meal. so why a SWAN? chicken little would be fine, for instance, not some distant bird relative.
2) THIS IS THE WORST NEWS I HAVE EVER HEARD.

from what my sis says, it looks really ugly. and i trust my sis cause she really has good taste. so HOW NOW?!?!?
i am not going away from mtv because i have been looking out for his new appearance in some ad.
and i have been looking since 7. its 9 now. and i havent seen it yet. like boo.
WHY MUST HE CUT HIS HAIR?!?! I MEAN HE LOOKS SO EVER PERFECT IN HIS ZHANGMINGHAN HAIRSTYLE..............

FINE. I SHALL STOP TALKING ABOUT HIS HAIR AND END THIS VERY VERY LONG POST WITH SOME POINTS TO PONDER ABOUT.
