recollections on national day
Wednesday, August 09, 2006 11:10 PM

first of all, HAPPY 41ST BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE!
gosh, singapore's getting old. can you imagine the celebrations at the 50th? it'll be so goddamn big.

anyways. just some random, funny things that happened on national day. i have titled this the "recollections on/of national day".

1) the song this year is really nice:D (actually i say that every national day, but nevermind)
2) the celebrations i think, are a teeny weeny bit extravagant for a 41st. i mean, not really a memorable number right? except for the fact that this is the last year at national stadium.
3) the contingent people were quite cute in the uniforms, except that i didnt see the white-and-red-and-blue one that i saw the groom at the wedding studio wearing. OMGOODNESS THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY HOTSHIT. AND THE GROOM ALSO. IMAGINE A HOTHOTHOT GUY WITH UNIFORM, AND IT'S A VERYVERY NICE UNIFORM. too bad he's going to be married. ohwells. at least the bride was quite pretty. "i wish them well." *clasps hands together and sniffs*
4) the half-naked guy dancing on the drum was quite...interesting

andandand i found out that my dad was in the air force! ohmygoodness, i totally didnt have any idea for the past like, 14and a half years! like how bad is that. i think the air force people are totally cool. heh. my dad's cell group mate is also from air force-uncle benjamin. but he quit already:( at least i saw his photo, quite good-looking.

ohwells. anyway, i did make some special discoveries of my family on national day.
1) my dad cant cook sunny-side up. (the yolk was overcooked)
2) my dad loves garnishing his food with parsley and spring onions until you can see nothing but green on the plate (i am serious) .
3) my sis is becoming like huiping and everyone else, cause she's watching korean dramas on youtube. and watching behind-the-scenes stuff WITHOUT CHINESE SUBTITLES. cause she just wanna hear the guy's real voice. and just watch the pictures.
4) my grandma is VERYVERYVERY good at counting money. she counted my brother's piggy bank which was full to the brim in like, dontknowhowlongcauseiwasplayingneopetsbutiknowitwasfastshit. and it all totalled up to $132.60. m
5) my brother is richer than me. (see above)
6) my sis is looking for cantonese dramas on youtube and ended up with VIETNAMESE versions. how silly is that you tell me. and she's watching it somemore. WITHOUT SUBTITLES. and the actors are just rambling on and on and on.
7) my grandfather can be so sarcastic at times. firstly, when my grandma commented that the soldiers at ndp marched so neatly, he said "of course lah! they practice so long if cannot march neatly then die right!" and he said it in cantonese, it was so funny. and secondly, my grandma offered him 1000 dollars for him to take part in ndp and he refused. and he wasnt even tempted when i offered 10000 dollars. heh. talk about the older generation being patriotic after experiencing world war 2 and everything eh.
8) my dad had participated in ndp in dontknowwhichyear. i wonder if he was on camera. then he might be spotted by some hotshot modelling agency and he just might become the manliest model on earth! or oldest, at least. i dont think any model is 43 years old :P
9) my sis and i know my father's cousin(how do you address her formally anyway) so well we like, made fun of her at dinner. so rude, but ohwells.

ohyes, and after watching a few shows, and watching ndp, i realised that i have more stuff to do and to plan and to convince people to sponsor for my death party. here comes another list!
1) i want fireworks on my 21st birthday party, 50th birthday party, 90th birthday party and 100th birthday party.
2) after watching ice-connection on channel 8, i realised that when i die, i need to be cloned. so that one of me can be burried for the later generations to WORSHIP, and the other one of me shall be burnt and then the ashes be put in some diamond-studded furry(how could i forget?) container along with fireworks, and then the fireworks would go off and my ashes will explode with the fireworks to form beautiful patterns. HOW COOL IS THAT. but my dad has already refused to pay for the fireworks for my 21st birthday, let alone all the other birthdays and the death party. so any sponsors? pleaseeee. at the most, i'll just buy you a sharpener or something to thank you. so pretty pleaseee. ooh, and yet another of my clone will also be burnt and the ashes be made into diamonds. it's really possible you know. some girl who died of cancer had her ashes made into beautiful sapphires which her parents and sister now don. i want rainbow one. and somemore my boobs so big, so can burn a lot of ashes, so can make into a lot of diamonds, can decorate my tombstone:) I CAN'T WAIT! although i wouldnt be able to see it :(
and if got extra can give to all my friends like hiankek(: , and jiayi :), and angelia:), and shuyun:) to wear, like as a brooch or something. aiyah, be creative! they'll think of something.
3) i want that half-naked man on the drum at my death party. although he not very hot. can get uncle benjamin to do it though. KINKAY. hahaahha. just kidding. he'll be so old! if he fall down from the drum then how.

so. above are my recollections on national day. actually, i can put all these into my best-seller-forever book right. then it'll sell somemore. yay. i like money. and best-selling-forever books. and book-signing sessions. heh.
